What is a Metacard?
Metacard is a collectible, metaverse-ready NFT. It is both an on-chain NFT and a physical card that can be delivered anywhere around the world. Metacard will automate yield generating rewards across various metaverses and networks to natively connect them to a crypto debit card.
How does it work?
Metacard is an NFT you can mint. It is an extendable ERC-721 contract that you can link to the rewards you earn across networks and metaverses. Once connected, you can natively use the rewards on your Mover debit card.
Is it available now?
Not yet. We will announce the beginning of Phase 1 rollout.
Can you redeem NFT Metacard for a physical version?
You will have an option to redeem (burn) your on-chain NFT Metacard to order free worldwide delivery of a physical Metacard. Your physical Metacard will preserve your custom (if there is one) design and unique Metacard ID.
How many Metacards can there be?
There can only be 10,000 NFTs at every point in time. However, you can redeem your NFT for a physical card delivered to you. Every physical card will still provide on-chain yield access across metaverses and will also provide exclusive access to offline events. For every on-chain NFT that is redeemed for a physical card, a new NFT Metacard can be minted. It means that Metacard is infinitely expandable to handle the ever-growing metaverse but at the same time limited, unique, and scarce.
Wait, Metacard is customizable?
Your Metacard can be customized. You will have an option to mint a standard design or a custom design Metacard:
- To change your Metacard design on-chain, there is a fee of 100 $MOVE. You can change the design as many times as possible.
- On top of that, each Metacard has a unique ID. This ID is preserved forever, both on-chain and off-chain. You can purchase a custom ID for 500 $MOVE. The custom ID you hold will be forever taken and reserved for your Metacard.
Accrued fees in $MOVE by Metacard will then be used as following. 70% of accumulated fees will be burned, and 30% will flow back to the community war chest.
How do I get one?
There will be two ways to get a Metacard. You will be able to mint a Metacard or obtain one through the open market via OpenSea, LooksRare, Rarible, or Zora.
What metaverses will it support?
Metacard is native to all EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible Networks: Polygon, Avalanche, Fantom, Aribtrum, and Optimism. We will also work towards supporting all metaverses! Axis Infinity, Sandbox, Decentraland, and a lot more.
Will Metacard be globally available?
Metacard will be globally available.
